Summer Series, 2022
Four Wednesdays in the Summer Months, starting June 15 • 4pm Pacific Time
Summertime is Amazing! And one simple way to fully enjoy the awesomeness of this time of year is to absorb the aliveness, beauty and magic of the Yang Qi of Summer. How do you do this? Practice Qigong! 🙂 Join my Women’s Nourishing Qigong summer series class and fill up on the goodness of Summer!
With the busyness of summer, this class will meet 4 times for the three summer months. We’ll learn the Eight Brocades (a wonderful simple set for cleansing the meridians and strengthening the tendons) and dive into some of the fundamental meditations of ZY Qigong, including Big Tree, Refine Qi, Body Breathing and more. 🙂
Class will be via Zoom on Wednesday afternoons, 4-5:45p: June 15, July 13, Aug 10, and Aug 31. I will end our practice by ~5:30 to have time for 10-15 mins of shares and reflections. 🙂 All sessions will be recorded and sent out by Friday of that week.
Early bird price of $80 is available till June 1. After that the regular price is $100 for the series.
Beginning and returning students are welcome.

Absorbing Aliveness and the Yang Qi of Summer – Women’s Nourishing Qigong – Summer Series
Summer is AMAZING! I think of long days, wild berries, farmer markets and outdoor music gatherings, alpine meadow wanders, camping in cool, verdant forests, exploring new wild landscapes and filling myself with the thrill of being alive and the abundance of immense Beauty and Magic of our beloved Earth!! YAY!
And, with our changing world, summer time can also bring its own challenges with the danger of excessive heat, fire and smoke. Yet, part of developing and strengthening our own resilience, adaptability, wisdom and love in these changing and challenging times is to deeply connect with life, with nature, with our Mother Earth and to take in and celebrate the Joy and Beauty from the life and magic around us. One of my favorite and most powerful ways of doing this is through the practice and teachings of Qigong.
Qigong literally means the skill of cultivating vital life energy. Energy is also information, so as we absorb, gather, circulate and store this Qi that so abundantly exists in nature, we are simultaneously learning from and harmonizing with the greater wisdom of Life, of our natural world.
In summertime, the Yang Qi is at its peak and we see and experience this through the abundance of juicy berries, green, lush, verdant forests, vibrant flowers and the buzzing of bees and flutter of butterflies, the cascading of waterfalls, babbling of alpine meadow brooks and the stunning jagged peaks we can climb to and immerse ourselves in their glory in this short season. All of these places and life forms have their own unique Qi they radiate with abundance out to the life around them.
While we naturally absorb this Qi as we walk, wander and enjoy time in nature, with Qigong, we augment this process. We can cleanse our bodies, gather and absorb large amounts of Qi and refine the Qi for our health, healing and our own inner self development.
This summer I’m excited to offer this class designed to either begin or deepen your Qigong practice this summer. Called Absorbing Aliveness and the Yang Qi of Summer, as mentioned above, I’ll be sharing simple practices (including the Eight Brocades, Big Tree, Body Breathing, and more) that you can use through this time of adventure, exploration, outdoor play and nature wanderings to gather Qi from the Earth and Cosmos for your own health, growth, transformation and joy. This gift for all!
I look forward to practicing with you!!
